Orange Order Slammed For 'Disgraceful' Scenes Outside St Patrick's Church
Sinn Féin MP for West Belfast has urged the Orange Order to reflect on the disgraceful scenes outside St. Patrick's church on Saturday.
Mr Paul Maskey said it caused serious offence to Catholics in the city and urged the heat to be taken out of the situation by avoiding parading past the church for the remainder of the marching season including the massive parade going to Stormont in September.
Mr Maskey said: "The sectarian behaviour displayed on Saturday outside St. Patrick’s is as clear a demonstration of what is wrong with parading in North Belfast as you are likely to see. Let people be very clear, these parades are a joint enterprise between the loyal orders and loyalist paramilitaries and in particular the UVF.
"The Loyal Orders need to realise this, they need to take the heat out of this situation and they need to reroute themselves away from Donegal Street and St. Patrick’s church for the remainder of the marching season.
"Saturday's blatant flouting of the law was a step too far. That is the sensible thing to do and it is the right thing to do in the wake of Saturday’s parade. There is an easily accessible and non contentious alternative route down the Shankill where the parade would be appreciated and into the city centre. The Orange Order now need to step up to the mark and follow the lead of the Protestant Church’s in recent days and show some leadership."

PSNI Appeal For Information On Fatal Collision Outside Tandragee
The PSNI have named a man who died following a road traffic collision outside Tandragee, as 84-year-old Sidney McIldoon. Mr McIldoon, who was from Portadown, died following a collision between his vehicle and a tractor on Tuesday afternoon, 13th February on the Cornascriebe Road, between Tandragee and Hamiltonsbawn.

BCC Welcomes Conviction Of Belfast Man For Dog Attack
Belfast City Council (BCC) has welcomed the conviction of a man at Belfast Magistrates Court for an offence involving a dog attack on a woman. BCC brought the prosecution against 43-year-old Stuart Grace, of Forthriver Crescent, Belfast, following a report that Mr Grace’s German Shepherd dog had attacked a woman, injuring her arm and back.

Orange Order Discusses Changes To Parading Legislation
The Orange Order has met with the Secretary of State to discuss the current parading legislation. Theresa Villiers MP was presented with a formal request urging her to personally intervene and commence a process to replace the current parading legislation, with an emphasis on "fair and equitable" regulations for all communities.

New Initiative Launched To Resolve Parading Disputes
Former speaker of the Northern Ireland Assembly, Lord John Alderdice, has been asked to take on an initiative by the Parades Commission to resolve parading disputes in Ardoyne, north Belfast. Fr Gary Donegan and Rev Norman Hamilton will also take part in the new initiative.
