Men Arrested Over Armagh Murder

Two men have been arrested by detectives from the PSNI Serious Crime Branch.

Both suspects are aged 22 and have been arrested in connection with the murder of 32-year-old Lee Smyth from Armagh.

Mr Smyth died following an assault in a laneway beside a river at Ballinahone Avenue, Armagh, on Sunday 6 June, 2010.

The incident left him in hospital for two years, but Mr Smyth never recovered. He died on Tuesday 12 June, 2012.

One of the men was arrested Armagh area, while the other was arrested in Shropshire, England.

Police have said he is being brought back to Northern Ireland.

Man Charged Following Craigavn Stabbing

A man has been charged following a stabbing in Craigavon.

The incident occurred in the Enniskeen area.

A 20-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder.

The 24-year-old man was critically injured in the incident.

It was reported to police at about 23:00 on Friday.

The victim is thought to be in a critical condition in hospital.

The 20-year-old man is due to appear today at Lisburn Magistrates Court.

Three Arrested Over L'Derry Crash

Three men have been arrested following a car crash which has left a L’Derry taxi driver in hospital.

The incident occurred at 03:30 on Sunday on the Ballyarnett Road.

The taxi-driver had to be cut from the wreckage and was treated in hospital for head and arm injuries.

Donegal Gardai arrested two men.

An 18 year old man who was arrested in arrested in L’Derry has been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Man Charged With Cocaine Supply

A man is due to appear in Enniskillen Magistrates Court following a cocaine seizure in London.

The 44-year-old man was charge with conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

It is believed the charges relate to the seizure of a substantial amount of cocaine.

He was charged by detectives from the PSNI's Organised Crime Branch.

Man Arrested Following Incident At House In Coleraine
A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an incident at a house in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. It happened at a property on Knockantern Grove in the Mountsandel area on Tuesday, 16 August. The suspect has been arrested on suspicion of possessing of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an offence and assault on police.

Man Arrested Over George Gilmore Murder
Police have arrested a 23-year-old man in connection with the murder of loyalist George Gilmore. Mr Gilmore, aged 44, was shot in the neck in Carrickfergus on Monday, 13 March. He died from his injuries in hospital the following day, 14 March. A 32-year-old man arrested on Sunday, 19 March, has been released.

Man arrested over Electoral Office fraud
A 58-year-old man from Co Tyrone has been arrested and charged following a police investigation into irregularities at an Electoral Office in the west of the province. The man was charged with 30 offences, 17 of which relate to theft and 13 of fake accounting. He will appear before a court in Omagh on November 11.

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. A man, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Two other men were also arrested and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Men Arrested In Connection With Right-Wing Extremism Released
Four men arrested in connection with right-wing extremism have been released. The men, aged 29, 30, 36 and 46, were arrested following house searches in Ballymena and Coleraine on Wednesday, 26 October. The men have been released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service (PPS).
