Man Arrested Over Dissident Activity
Police have arrested a 28-year-old man in L'Derry over alleged dissident republican activity.
Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland's serious crime branch are currently investigating the possibility of dissident activity having been carried out.
The man has been taken to Antrim Serious Crime Suite for questioning.
Police Seize Drugs, Guns And Ammo
Methedrone, guns and ammunition have been seized by police during a search in County Down.
A planned search of a house in Summerhill, Banbridge, uncovered the items.
A 47-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman have been arrested.
They are being questioned over possession of firearms and ammunition in suspicious circumstances and possession of drugs with intent to supply.
Lithuanian Man Arrested Over Murder
A Lithuanian man has been arrested in Northern Ireland in connection with a murder in his home country.
The 37-year-old is wanted on a European arrest warrant over a murder in 2005.
He was arrested at a house in Causanagh Road, Loughgall, County Armagh, on Wednesday morning.
He has been taken to Lurgan police station, where the European arrest warrant will be processed.
Nine Convicted Of False Benefit Claims
Nine people have been convicted at Belfast Magistrates' court today for claiming benefits they were not entitled to.
The amounts of benefit falsely claimed were wide-ranging, however the biggest amount was by Rose Stewart, 54, of Gweedore Gardens, Belfast.
She claimed Income Support and Housing Benefit totalling £24,192 while failing to declare employment.
She was given a nine month custodial sentence suspended for two years.
57-year-old Catherine Lamont of Cicero Gardens, Belfast, claimed Jobseekers Allowance and Housing Benefit totalling £14,246 while failing to declare employment.
She was given an eight month prison sentence suspended for two years and ordered to pay court costs of £31.

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. A man, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Two other men were also arrested and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Man Released On Bail Over Lurgan Murder
A man arrested in connection with a murder in Lurgan on Sunday, 06 August, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The body of a man, aged 45, was discovered at a flat on Victoria Street. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an incident at a house in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. It happened at a property on Knockantern Grove in the Mountsandel area on Tuesday, 16 August. The suspect has been arrested on suspicion of possessing of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an offence and assault on police.
