Cargo Crew Decontaminated
Workers on a cargo ship exposed to leaking gas in a County Down harbour have been decontaminated.
Nine people were exposed to the leak during the unloading of a grain shipment in Warrenpoint Harbour.
The workers were taken to hospital as the area around the quayside was cordoned off.
Other retainers, also containing aluminium phosphide, spilled onto the ground as they were being removed from the ship.
The spill has now been made safe.
Arrest Over Drugs Find
A 38-year-old man has been charged following the seizure of class A drugs in Newtownards, Co. Down.
The man was arrested on Thursday after a quantity of suspected drugs was recovered from a car in the Castle Street area.
He has been charged with possession of a class A drug, possession of a class A drug with intent to supply and possession of class B drug.
He is due to appear at Newtownards Magistrates' Court this morning.
Vehicle Breaker Fined £1,100
A man has been fined £1,100 at Newtownards Magistrates' Court for operating a scrap metal yard without a license.
Alan Griffith, 31, of Beechwood Avenue, Bangor, was charged after officers of the Northern Ireland Environment Agency visited a site at 18 Balloo Avenue, where a quantity of scrap vehicles and parts was deposited.
Mr Griffith was the operator of the vehicle breaking part of the site, which did not have a licence to operate as an authorised treatment facility for end of life vehicles.
Mr. Griffith pleaded guilty to three waste charges under The Waste and Contaminated Land (Northern Ireland) Order 1997 and was fined £500 under Article 4(1)a and £600 under two Article 4(1)b charges of The Waste and Contaminated Land (Northern Ireland) Order 1997. He was also ordered to pay court costs of £34.
Police Seize 700 Sheep
About 700 sheep have been seized by police and Department of Agriculture officials in County Fermanagh.
670 animals were seized in the Bellanaleck and Derrylin area on Tuesday, having been illegally imported from the Republic of Ireland, it is believed.
The seizure is part of a joint investigation into cross-border criminality involving the movement of sheep.

Four Charged With Drugs Offences
Four people have been charged with class A drugs offences following arrests made on Friday (30 August). Two men, aged 54 and 20, and a 42-year-old woman who are all from Liverpool, and a 35-year-old man from Antrim have been charged with the possession of Class A drugs and possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.

A Newtownabbey man has been handed a custodial sentence for a series of drugs offences following police raids as part of a paramilitary probe. 49-year-old William Axon will serve two years imprisonment, half in custody and half on licence.

A man has been charged after police seized suspected cocaine, worth an estimated street value of £60,000, following a road traffic crash on the Springfield Road area in west Belfast. Suspected cutting agent was also discovered in the Edenderry area of Belfast on Friday, 08 April.

Two Men Charged After Drugs Seized In L'Derry
Two people have been charged after drugs were found during searches in L'Derry. A quantity of suspected class B drugs, as well as cash and other items, were seized during a search in the Waterside area on Tuesday, 22 August. Suspected class A and class B drugs were also seized following a search in the Cityside area.
