Car Hijacked In West Belfast

A man has had his car hijacked at St. James's Parade in west Belfast.

The man was told to get out of his vehicle by two men, who had their faces covered, at 19:40 on Saturday evening.

They made off in the car, a blue Citroen, which was found burnt out later on the Whiterock Road.

Police have appealed for anyone who saw the car between St James's Parade and Whiterock Road to contact them.

Delivery Driver Threatened With Hammers

A delivery driver in Lisburn, County Antrim, has been robbed by a gang of men wielding hammers.

The driver was approached by the gang at Llewellyn Avenue, Lisburn, at about 02:20 on Sunday.

The gang did not steal money, but left with the driver's pizzas.

Police have appealed for information.

Man Arrested Over Cocaine Seizure

A 34-year-old man is due in court today following the seizure of cocaine thought to be worth £300,000.

The man was charged on Saturday with five counts of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.

Strangford Ferry Disrupted

The Strangford Ferry vehicle service, which runs between the County Down towns of Strangford and Portaferry across Strangford Lough, has been suspended due to a breakdown.

The passenger only service is now in operation.

The breakdown is due to the reoccurrence of a fault with defective components replaced over the last week.

It is hoped that full vehicle service will be restored as soon as possible.

Man Arrested In Connection With Dromara Assault
A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a report of an assault at licenced premises at the Rathfriland Road area of Dromara. Detective Inspector Bell said: "Shortly before 10:10pm on Friday 15th December, it was reported that an altercation occurred at a bar in the area following three men refused entry to the premises.

Two Arrested After Fatal Collision On Newry To Belfast Road
Two people have been arrested in connection with a fatal road traffic collision on the main Newry to Belfast road. A man, aged in his 20s, was killed when his car was involved in a collision with another vehicle on the A1 between Banbridge and Dromore at about 11:30pm on Wednesday, 23 May.

Man Dies In Portadown Road Crash
An 18-year-old man has died following a collision in Portadown. The crash happened on the Dungannon Road between midnight and 12.30am on Wednesday, 08 November. The road has been re-opened. Elsewhere, a man, aged in his 30's, has died in a road collision in Co Antrim.

Man Released On Bail Over Lurgan Murder
A man arrested in connection with a murder in Lurgan on Sunday, 06 August, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The body of a man, aged 45, was discovered at a flat on Victoria Street. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
