Police Officers Injured In Chase

Four police officers have been injured following a police chase in County L'Derry.

A Nissan Juke car was stolen in the Racecourse area on Thursday night and made off towards the Glenshane Pass.

Police chased the car after they discovered it on the Fallaghloon Road in Maghera, and it resulted in both vehicles crashing into one another.

A man from the stolen car ran away, however police arrested him a short time later.

He has been arrested on suspicion of burglary, aggravated taking and driving away, dangerous driving, driving whilst unfit, failing to stop and remain at the scene of an accident.

The police officers received minor injuries.

Man Wanted In Lithuania Arrested In Magherafelt
The PSNI have arrested a 23-year-old man in Magherafelt wanted in Lithuania to face charges of human trafficking. The man was arrested by officers from the Police Service's local policing team in Magherafelt, with assistance from the International Policing Unit. A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the stabbing of a 14-year-old in the Knockmore Road area of Lisburn last night, Monday 25th March. Police have said that at approximately 7.40pm on Monday 25 March, a 14-year-old boy had been approached by a group of teenagers, before being stabbed in the lower back.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.
