Armed Men Rob Downpatrick Shop
Detectives in Downpatrick, County Down have appealed for information following a report of an armed robbery at licensed premises on the Belfast Road, Ballynahinch, County Down, on Wednesday 8 October.
At around 21:45, it is believed that one man entered a shop in the area armed with a suspected firearm. Another man is believed to have waited outside the shop armed with a hammer.
The man armed with the suspected firearm is reported to have threatened a member of staff during the incident. The staff member was not injured, but left badly shaken.
The men then made off on foot towards the Moss Road area with a sum of money and a quantity of cigarettes. Enquiries are continuing.
"Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident or has information in relation to it to contact them on the non-emergency number 101 or the independent Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111."

Off licence robbed in south Belfast
A man armed with a handgun has robbed an off-licence in the University Road area of south Belfast. Shortly after 7pm, a man entered the premises and produced a handgun and demanded money from the till. The man made off with an undisclosed sum of money.
