Tyres Slashed In Belfast

The tyres of two cars have been slashed in south Belfast, police have said.

The vandalism was carried out on Raphael Street, off Cromac Street, on Wednesday just before 16:30.

Police have appealed to the public, anyone who might have seen the activity, or anyone who has information about the incident, to contact them at Musgrave PSNI Station on the non-emergency number 101.

Alternatively, if someone prefers to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Man Charged Over £120,000 Cannabis Find
A 23-year-old man has been charged after police seized herbal cannabis worth an estimated street value of £120,000 in Omagh. The drugs were found after a vehicle was stopped and searched on the Great Northern Road just before 3pm on Friday, 25 August. Around 13kgs of suspected cutting agent for a class A drug were also found.

Man Charged Following Drugs Find
A man has been charged after police seized drugs, worth a street value of between £50,000-£75,000, in Co L'Derry. Cannabis plants and herbal cannabis were discovered during search in the High Street area in Draperstown on Wednesday. A 35-year-old man has been charged with possession and cultivation of class B drugs with intent to supply.

Death Of Man In West Belfast Not Being Treated As Suspicious
Police have launched an investigation following the death of a man in west Belfast. The man's body was discovered in the Paris Street area on Sunday night. Police said they are not treating the death as suspicious. A post-mortem is to be carried out to establish the cause of death.

Investigation Launched Into 'Paramilitary Style Shooting'
The PSNI have launched an investigation after a man was shot in both legs on Sunday. It is understood that a 24-year-old was in a "paramilitary style shooting" in Flax Street, north Belfast. He is being treated in hospital, where his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
