Ronnie Carroll Dies, Aged 80
Former Eurovision singer Ronnie Caroll has died, aged 80.
He passed away on Monday following a short illness, according to the BBC.
The Belfast born singer represented the UK as a Eurovision contestant in 1962 with Ring-A-Ding Girl and again in 1963 with Say Wonderful Things.
Carrol was also planning to stand as an independent candidate for Hampstead and Kilburn at the upcoming General Election.

Former NI Captain And Manager Terry Neill Dies Aged 80
Former Northern Ireland and Arsenal captain and manager Terry Neill has died at the age of 80. Neill from Belfast was Arsenal's youngest captain at 20 and played over 270 games for the club between 1957 and 1970. Born in 1942, he started playing for Bangor's youth team and went on to play for Arsenal in 1959, aged 17.

Okto Technologies has announced it will create 80 new jobs after the Lisburn-based smart buildings tech developer secured new contracts worth £25m. The NI firm currently employs some 100 people in NI, Dublin and London. It is understood they have secured new contracts in the high-end residential and hospitality sectors.

A number of elderly residents have been rescued from a sheltered accommodation facility in north Belfast following a fire in a flat. Five fire crews attended the scene at Mount Vernon Court shortly before 10pm on Wednesday 02 January.

Insurance firm AXA has announced it is to create 80 new jobs in L'Derry. The posts will be located at its Customer Contact Centre of Excellence at Springtown Business Park. Sinn Féin Foyle MLA Raymond McCartney welcomed the announcement. He said: "In the current economic climate every new job brought to this city is welcome and valued.
