Man Arrested After Shots Fired At Police Vehicles

A 53-year-old man has been arrested over a gun attack on police on 5 December 2013.

The man was arrested on Tuesday morning in north Belfast.

Three police vehicles were shot at on the Crumlin Road during the attack.

No one was injured.

The man is currently being detained for questioning at Antrim police station.

Belfast ‘Big Two’ drawn together in cross-border cup
Belfast’s ‘Big Two’ have been drawn together in the new cross-border Setanta Cup. Both Linfield and Glentoran have been drawn in the same group as FAI Cup winners Longford for the new tournament which begins in March. Cash Stolen In Co Down Burglary
A sum of cash has been stolen from a house in Portaferry, Co Down. Police are appealing for information following the burglary on Monday evening, 09 March. Entry was forced to the property in the Ballyblack Road area sometime between 2pm and 7pm that day. The owners returned to discover a quantity of money had been taken.
