Police Appeal For Witnesses Following Attempted Robbery In East Belfast

Police are appealing for witnesses following an attempted robbery in east Belfast on Wednesday afternoon.

A man who was delivering cigarettes to a local supermarket on the Cregagh Road was approached by another male, who attempted to make off with the quantity of cigarettes.

The man, who was wearing a long black coat, was challenged by passers-by and fled the scene in the direction of Willowholme Street empty handed.

Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Police Appeal Following Attempted Stabbing In West Belfast
Police are appealing for information after a man, who was walking with his son, was attacked in west Belfast. The incident occurred in the Odessa Street area on Wednesday 24 June. The victim was walking along the road with his son when a man attempted to stab him. The attacker then head butted him while continuing to try to stab him.

The PSNI has issued an appeal to the public regarding the attempted murder of an off-duty police officer and his family at their home in east Belfast on Sunday 30 December. Detectives from Serious Crime Branch want to speak to late night revellers who got taxis in Belfast city centre that weekend.

Police Appeal After Attempted Robbery In Belfast
Detectives investigating an attempted robbery in Belfast are appealing for witnesses. It follows an incident at a bar in Wilson's Court on Monday 25 March. The suspect approached a man drinking in the premises at around 7.30pm, producing a knife and demanding his wallet.

Police Appeal After Attempted Robbery In North Belfast
Police have launched an investigation following an attempted robbery in north Belfast. The incident happened at a shop on Skegoniel Avenue at around 7.30pm on Thursday, 15 June. One man entered the shop and demanded money while the other man stood outside. A female worker scared off the robbers and they fled the scene empty handed.
