Man Attacked In Bangor

A man has been attacked by a jogger in Bangor on Monday morning.

The victim, who was walking his dog, was punched in the head on Ballyholme Esplanade at around 11.15am.

His attacker is being described as in his 30s, around 6ft tall and muscular with short brown hair. He was wearing blue running gear and spoke with an accent, possibly Scottish or Welsh. He made off in the direction of Bangor.

Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Man Attacked In Bangor
A man, aged in his 60s, has been injured after he was beaten and kicked to the ground in the face and head in Bangor. The assault occurred in the Castle Street area at around 10pm on Saturday, 21 May. A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing Grievous Bodily Harm and has been detained in police custody.

Man Injured After Shots Fired At House In Rathfriland
An investigation has been launched after shots were fired at a house in Rathfriland in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday, 05 March. Police received a report that two shots had been fired through the front window of a house in the Wright's Park area at around 12.35am, causing minor injuries to a man who was in the living room at the time.
