Man Charged Over Murder Of Richard Miskelly

A man has been charged with the murder of Richard Miskelly.

The 24-year-old was discovered on Sunday, 26 February, after being attacked at a house in the Bangor Road area of Newtownards.

Emergency services attended the scene however he died a short time later.

A 19-year-old man has been charged with murder and perverting the course of justice. He is due to appear at Newtownards Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, 28 February.

A second man who was arrested on suspicion of murder has been released unconditionally.

However, he was questioned about an assault on a 27-year-old man on the Bangor Road on Sunday and a file has been sent to the Public Prosecution Service (PPS) in connection with the attack.

Child Dies After Being Struck By A Car In Kirkcubbin
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following the death of a child in a road traffic collision. According to reports, the child died after a collision on the Rowreagh Road in Kirkcubbin at around 8.20 on Monday 30 August. It is understood that the male child was struck by a car.
