Man Arrested Over Firearms And Explosives Find

A 44-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a firearms and explosives find in west Belfast.

Over half-a-kilo of Semtex, two handguns, more than 200 rounds of ammunition and two detonators were found on the Ballymurphy Road on Friday.

The man was arrested in west Belfast on Wednesday.

A 45-year-old man has been charged in connection with the seizure. He was arrested in Sunderland on Sunday was charged on Tuesday.

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. A man, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Two other men were also arrested and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
