UUP Welcomes Teleperformance Jobs Announcement

The Ulster Unionist Party has welcomed the announcement that Teleperformance will create 800 jobs in Enniskillen by 2018.

Tom Elliott, Ulster Unionist MP for Fermanagh & South Tyrone, said: "This is very welcome news for Enniskillen and the wider Fermanagh & South Tyrone area. I am pleased that Teleperformance are planning to create 800 jobs by 2018. There have been a number of ups and downs in terms of jobs in Enniskillen over the past couple of years and I hope that these particular jobs will be sustainable on a long term basis.

"The people of Enniskillen and the wider Fermanagh & South Tyrone area have the abilities and the skills to push Northern Ireland forward if they are given the opportunity. I hope that this is one of many investments in the local economy."

New Tesco Store To Create 250 Jobs
Up to 250 jobs are to be created by the opening of a new Tesco store in County Fermanagh. The store is to be built on the site of the current Enniskillen Rangers football ground in the Dublin Road area of the town, which Tesco are understood to have paid £1 million to the club in order for them to give up their long-term lease on the ground.

Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton, TD, today announced that Mandiant, a specialist provider of IT security solutions is to establish an engineering and security operations centre in Dublin with the creation of 100 new jobs.

Offshore Company Axes Jobs
Around 150 jobs in Aberdeen and Dundee have been axed after an offshore services company ceased trading. Oceanteam Power and Umbilical has been forced to close when the firm's holding company withdrew its financial support. Staff are based in Aberdeen, at workshops in Dundee and offshore.
