Man Arrested In Connection With Murder Of Paul McCauley

A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Paul McCauley in L'Derry in 2006.

The suspect is being detained at Strand Road police station.

Mr McCauley, 38, died in a care facility almost nine years after an attack in July 2006. He was attending a summer BBQ at the rear of a house in Chapel Road on 15 July 2006. At 3.20am on 16 July, only three people remained at the BBQ. A group of up to 15 people came from out of the bushes and attacked Paul and two of his friends.

He died from his injuries in August this year.

One man has been charged with the murder and another male has been reported to the Public Prosecution Service (PPS).

North Belfast Stabbing Believed To Be Racially-Motivated Attack
Police have issued an appeal for information following a stabbing incident in north Belfast, which is believed to have been racially-motivated. Arrest Over Death That Followed 2017 Assault
Detectives investigating the death of a 54 year-old man in April 2018, following a serious assault almost a year earlier, have made an arrest. A 58 year-old man was arrested in Coleraine today, Thursday 09 January, following the assault in the Captain's Bar on lower Captain Street in the town in May 2017.

Two people have been caught on CCTV walking near the home of murdered Bangor man Michael Kerr. Fresh footage released by the PSNI shows the pair walking along the 68 year-old's home street of Birch Drive at 4.41am on Monday 18 November.

Second Man Due In Court Over ATM Theft
A second man is due in court today, Tuesday 10 December, in connection with the theft of a double ATM machine in Antrim. The 28 year-old is facing charges of conspiracy to steal and possession of a class B controlled drug. A digger was used to prise the cash dispensers from the wall of a Tesco supermarket on Friday morning, 06 December.

Man Charged Over Double ATM Theft
A 26 year-old man has been charged in connection with the theft of a double ATM machine from a supermarket in Antrim. Thieves used a digger to steal the unit from Tesco in the early hours of Friday morning, 06 December. The unit was later recovered by police.
