Man 'Critical' Following East Belfast Attack
A man is in a critical condition in hospital after being attacked in east Belfast.
The incident happened in the Templemore Avenue area in the early hours of Sunday.
The 32-year-old victim was assaulted by another man shortly before 2.30am.
Detective Inspector Joanne Harris added: "I continue to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this assault, or who has any information about it, to contact detectives at Musgrave Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.
"Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111."

Man Seriously Injured In West Belfast Attack
A man has been seriously injured after being assaulted by a gang of men in west Belfast. The attack happened at a property in the Greenland Street area at around 9pm on Sunday. Four men entered a house and assaulted the 25-year-old occupant. He is currently being treated in hospital.

Man Injured Following Attack In Bangor
A man has been injured after a gang assaulted him in Bangor on Wednesday night. The incident occurred in the Central Avenue area at around 10.40pm. The victim, 42, received injuries to his head and torso, however they are not believed to be threatening.

Man assaulted in Ballymena attack
Police in Ballymena have appealed for information following an assault in the town last night. The man was walking along the Broughshane Road, close to the rugby club, when the attack took place. A van pulled up alongside the victim and bundled him inside, where he was then assaulted.

Man Assaulted In Paramilitary Style Attack In Co Antrim
A man has been assaulted with baseball bats and a sledgehammer in a paramilitary style attack in Carrickfergus, Co Antrim. Four masked men forced their way into a house in the Rosebrook Avenue area just before 9pm on Wednesday. The 39-year-old victim was taken to hospital for treatment, however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Disabled Pensioner Assaulted In Newry
A disabled pensioner is being treated in hospital after three men broke into his home and assaulted him in Newry. The attack happened in the Clogharevan Park area at around 2.40am on Monday. The three men entered the victim's bedroom and attacked him with a sharp implement. He received several wounds to his body and is currently in hospital.
