Five Injured During Car-Chase In Belfast

Three police officers and two people have been injured during a car-chase in east Belfast.

The Renault Megane car failed to stop for police in the London Street area on Tuesday morning, 07 June.

A number of vehicles were damaged during the pursuit and two people were injured.

The chase ended after the Megane hit the police vehicle and injured three officers.

None of the injuries are believed to be life threatening.

Two men were arrested and are currently being detained by the police.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Six police officers have been injured following a creeper burglary in Newtownabbey, Co Antrim. A stolen car rammed into three police vehicles during a pursuit. Four teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary and two of them are also suspected of motoring offences.

Police Officers Injured After Vehicles Rammed
Three police officers have been treated in hospital after their vehicles were rammed repeatedly during at attempted vehicle stop in Newry in the early hours of this morning, Thursday 5 January. Two men have been arrested following the incident in the Flagstaff Road area of Cloughoge.

One Killed Five Injured In Garvagh Crash
One man has died and five people have been injured following a collision involving three vehicles on the Edenbane Road at Garvagh, County Derry. The man who died in the crash has been named as Ronnie Cochrane, 56, from the Hillmount area of Garvagh. Three vehicles were involved in the incident, which happened shortly before 10.50pm on Friday night.

Seven injured in separate road accidents
Seven people have been injured in two separate road accidents today. In Co Down, two men had to be cut free from their vehicles following a collision on the Bangor Road in Holywood. Four cars were involved in the collision which occurred at a part of the road known as Devil's Elbow at around 6.30am on Friday.
