Ciarán Maxwell, 30, who is originally from Larne, was remanded in custody on Friday, 02 September, charged with manufacturing explosives and constructing explosive devices in England and Northern Ireland.

He has also been charged with possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply.

Earlier this year, police uncovered a "significant terrorist hide" at Carnfunnock Country Park in March.
