Man Arrested Over Murder Of Colin Horner

A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a man at a supermarket car park in Co Down.

Colin Horner, 35, was fatally shot in front of his son just outside Sainsbury's in Bangor on Sunday, 28 May.

A 28-year-old man was arrested in the Newtownards area on Tuesday evening, 31 May.

He has been taken to Musgrave Police Station and is assisting police with their enquiries.

NI's Most Fortified Police Stations Should Close
The most fortified police stations in Northern Ireland should close, a review into policing in South Armagh has recommended. PSNI Chief Constable Simon Byrne will meet today today, Tuesday 31 August, with representatives of the local community in South Armagh to discuss the findings of a comprehensive report into policing in the local area.

Two Men Charged With The Murder Of Lyra McKee
Two men have been charged with the murder of Lyra McKee. Journalist Lyra McKee (29) was fatally shot as she observed rioting in the Creggan estate in L'Derry in April 2019. Four men were arrested earlier this week by detectives investigating Ms McKee's death. Two of the men, aged 21 and 33, have now been charged with her murder.

Man Arrested Over Murder Of Conor McKee
A 42-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Conor McKee. Mr McKee was found dead at his home in Glenpark Street in north Belfast on Thursday, 07 January. He had been shot a number of times. The suspect is being questioned at a police station in Belfast.

Man arrested over Electoral Office fraud
A 58-year-old man from Co Tyrone has been arrested and charged following a police investigation into irregularities at an Electoral Office in the west of the province. The man was charged with 30 offences, 17 of which relate to theft and 13 of fake accounting. He will appear before a court in Omagh on November 11.
