Man Charged With Attempted Murder

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed a number of times in Belfast.

The incident happened in the Ballynafoy Close area, just off the Ravenhill Road, at around 11.15pm on Tuesday, 07 November.

Police were called to an altercation and a man, aged in his 20s, was found to have been stabbed multiple times.

He is currently being treated in hospital, however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The suspect is to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court today, 09 November, charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.

Another man who was also arrested in connection with the incident has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
