Woman Attacked With Metal Bar In Ballycastle

Police have issued an appeal for witnesses after a woman was attacked with a metal bar in the early hours of Sunday 19 August in Ballycastle, Co Antrim.

A 27-year-old was attacked at about 1.45am on Fairhill Street.

A 29-year-old man has been detained in connection with the incident.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the incident. In particular they said that they are keen to hear from three men believed to have been in the area at the time of the attack.

Appeal Following Stabbing Incident In Downpatrick
PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a stabbing incident in Downpatrick. Police received a report shortly after 6pm on Saturday, 17th February that a man had been stabbed on a pathway in the St Dympnas Avenue area of the town.
