Businesses Invited To Sell To GB Programme

Businesses across Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon are invited to find out more about the 'Sell to GB' programme.

The Sell to GB programme aims to assist micro, small and medium sized businesses in the borough of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon to gear up to identify and target new business opportunities in England, Scotland and Wales.

The programme will also involve a group trade mission to GB, which will provide the opportunity to meet new potential customers and broaden professional networks. The trade mission will enable delegates to put into practice their newly acquired selling skills and expertise.

The council are hosting an event to explain to local businesses what they can expect from participation in the Sell to GB programme, highlighting the scale and nature of the opportunities available in GB, and how the programme will help fast-track their aspirations to sell in the GB market.

The event will take place on Thursday, 25 October, at Lough Neagh Discovery Centre, Craigavon, and is free to attend.

Antrim-Based MD Golf Secures Aston Martin Licence Deal
Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster has congratulated Antrim company MD Golf on securing a global licence to develop and sell Aston Martin branded golf equipment. The Minister extended her congratulations to David Millsopp during her visit to the Irish Open held at Royal Portush. Together with Michael Morton, David established the business in 1996.

Booze Ruling Halts Asda's Store Plans
One of the world's largest supermarket groups has abandoned plans to open a second store in the north Belfast area - because it has been refused permission to sell alcohol. Asda has pulled out of plans for a branch at the old Hillview Retail Park on the Crumlin Road because "none of their branches operated without a beer, wine and spirits licence".
