Second Arrest Over Fermanagh Murder

Police have arrested a second person on suspicion of the murder of Pauline Kilkenny in County Fermanagh.

A 26-year-old woman was detained on Wednesday 14 November, following the earlier arrest of a 28-year-old man on Tuesday 13, who remains in custody.

The man is also being held on suspicion of possession of cannabis and theft of a motor vehicle.

Ms Kilkenny's body was found by her sister at her home on the Cornacully Road between Belcoo and Garrison on Tuesday, where she lived alone in the isolated area.

Her death is said to have caused a sense of disbelief in the community and the nearby Enniskillen shop where she worked.

PSNI Detective Chief Inspector John Caldwell, who is leading the investigation, confirmed that the female suspect is currently in custody assisting with enquiries.

Police also said they are treating Ms Kilkenny's murder as an isolated incident.

"I want to assure the community that their safety remains a top priority for the officers in this district," Superintendent Michael Baird added.
