Two Arrests Following Attempted Murder In Portglenone

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man suffered head injuries during an assault in County Antrim.

The man in his 20s was attacked on Portglenone's Main Street shortly after midnight on Sunday 03 March.

PSNI Detective Sergeant Peter Crothers said: "Two men, aged 37 and 39, have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and are currently in custody. I want to appeal to anyone who was in the area and saw what happened, or anyone who has information about this, to get in touch with detectives on 101."

Three remanded on terrorism charges
Three men have been remanded in custody, following an appearance in court today in relation to arrests made during the disturbances in Carrickfergus, County Antrim at the weekend. The men are being charged with terrorism offences following the shooting of a police officer on the Castlemara Estate.
