Further Arrest In Jim Donegan Murder Probe

A 42-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Jim Donegan.

The father-of-two was gunned down last December in west Belfast while waiting to collect his teenage son from school on the Glen Road in west Belfast.

The gunman was captured on CCTV walking in the area, wearing a yellow high-vis vest. Police said the killer had been waiting for Mr Donegan five days earlier but the 43-year-old failed to show up that day.

The man was arrested under the Terrorism Act and taken to Musgrave Police Station. He remains in custody at this time.

Arrest In Connection With Jim Donegan Murder
Detectives investigating the murder of Jim Donegan in west Belfast last December have arrested a man in England. The 43-year-old was gunned down on the Glen Road as he waited to collect his 13-year-old son from school. Detectives from the PSNI's Major Investigation Team arrested the man, 48, on Thursday 23 May.

Man Wanted In Lithuania Arrested In Magherafelt
The PSNI have arrested a 23-year-old man in Magherafelt wanted in Lithuania to face charges of human trafficking. The man was arrested by officers from the Police Service's local policing team in Magherafelt, with assistance from the International Policing Unit. He is expected appear before extradition court in Belfast later today.

Two Arrests Made In Connection With Death Of Elderly Man In Dromore
A 54-year-old man has been arrested in suspicion of murder in connection with the death of an elderly man on 30 June in County Tyrone. The 84-year-old man was found dead at an address in Blackwater Road, Dromore. Police investigating the death made two arrests on Tuesday.

Two Men Arrested Over Attempted Murder Of PSNI Officers
Two men have been arrested in Dublin in connection with the attempted murder of a two PSNI officers. The suspects, aged 29 and 32, have been detained under a European Arrest Warrant. The arrests were in connection with a bomb discovered attached to a police officer's vehicle in L'Derry in June 2015.
