Appeal After 'Despicable' Co Fermanagh Burglary
Detectives are appealing for information after an elderly person's home was targeted by burglars in Lack, County Fermanagh.
The break-in happened between 4.40pm and 5pm on Tuesday 30 April at a house on Main Street.
A small amount of cash was taken and an older person who was inside the property at the time was left uninjured.
Detective Constable Joanne Halliday said: "It is despicable that an older and vulnerable person should have been targeted in this way and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference number 1036 of 30/04/19."
Details can also be passed to Crimestoppers, an anonymous service, by calling 0800 555 111.

Detectives call on person who shot child to come forward
Police have appealed for the person who was responsible for the shooting of a five-year-old boy in Co Fermanagh last Friday to come forward. Detectives say they still believe the shooting of Darragh Somers at St Patrick's Primary School was accidental, however they said this view may be revised if the person responsible does not come forward soon.

Detectives in Omagh are investigating the circumstances surrounding a sudden death that occurred on Saturday, 2nd August. Just before 2.05pm, police received a report from the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service that a silver Mitsubishi Lancer GS2 was on fire in the Rylagh Road area of the town.

Renewed Appeal For Missing Person Jason Hughes
Police have issued a renewed appeal for information to help locate high-risk missing person Jason Hughes. The 27-year-old was first reported missing in August 2024 but has not been seen since Friday, 26 April 2024. His family, who are being supported by specialist officers, have not heard from him since early April 2024.

Missing man Declan Mawhinney has been found safe and well, according to the police. Mr Mawhinney, 46, went missing from Letterkenny on Saturday at approximately 11.40pm. A missing person appeal was launched by the police and his family. He was located in Letterkenny on Tuesday. Police thank the public for their assistance.
