Man Attacked By Masked Men Armed With Hammer
A man has required hospital treatment after he was beaten with a hammer during an aggravated burglary in Ahoghill, County Antrim.
Police responded to the incident on Brook Street last night, Thursday 03 May at 11pm.
Three masked men forced their way into the home and attacked the victim, a male aged in his 30s, who was home alone at the time.
They made off in a dark-coloured car that was driven by a fourth person.
The man suffered injuries to his head and body.
Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them on 101, quoting reference 1540 of 02/05/19.

A Co Fermanagh man has suffered a broken nose after being assaulted by two men at his home in Enniskillen. The 65-year-old man was confronted by two men who forced their way into his home on Sunday. They then assaulted him before robbing his home. It is understood that a sum of money was taken during the robbery.

Recovered Body Named As Missing L'Derry Man
A body recovered from the River Foyle has been identified as that of missing L'Derry man Andrew Quigley. Mr Quigley (20), from Galliagh estate in the city, was reported missing on January 18, when he did not return home from a night out. A mobile phone and wallet belonging to Mr Quigley were found on the Foyle Bridge.
