Man Escapes Injury In Co Antrim Shooting

A man aged in his 40s has escaped injury after a shot was fired at his Co Antrim home.

Police are appealing for information following the incident in the Orkney Drive area of Ballymena early on Monday morning, 09 March.

A shot was fired at the house shortly after midnight, causing damage to a front window.

The occupant was upstairs at the time and did not sustain any injuries.

Man Arrested Over INLA Drug Activity
Detectives investigating drug activities within the INLA paramilitary group have made an arrest. The 33 year-old suspect was detained following a search in west Belfast on Tuesday evening, 10 March, during which a quantity of class B and C drugs were seized. A substantial sum of money and the drug pregabalin were also discovered.

Cash delivery guard robbed at knife-point
Police in north Belfast are appealing for information after a cash delivery guard was robbed yesterday morning. It is understood that a man armed with a knife, approached the guard outside a bank in the York Road area of the city at around 10am. The man demanded that the guard hand over the cash box he was carrying.

Man Charged Over Ballymena Murder
A 51 year-old man has been charged with the murder of businessman Inayat Shah in Ballymena, Co Antrim. Mr Shah, a 67 year-old guesthouse owner, died from injuries sustained during an incident on the Galgorm Road at around 3.30pm on Saturday afternoon, 21 March. The accused will appear before Coleraine Magistrates Court today, Monday 23 March.
