Firearm Found During West Belfast Security Alert
A firearm and rounds of ammunition have been discovered during a security alert in west Belfast.
Suspicious objects were found in an alleyway in the Spingfield Road area on Monday, 02 November.
A local medical centre was evacuated during the alert.
The items have been taken away for further examination.
An investigation has been launched and anyone with information is asked to contact the police on 101.

Ministers have welcomed an investment of £22.3 million from Belfast Distillery Company at Crumlin Road Gaol. The investment includes plans to regenerate the A Wing of the Crumlin Road Gaol into the J&J McConnell's Distillery and world-class visitor experience, and to create 49 new jobs.

Belfast City Council Launches 'Buy Belfast' Initiative
A new initiative has been established to help more than 80 Belfast businesses to share and sell their products to thousands of virtual shoppers. The 'Buy Belfast' Virtual Christmas Market was launched as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week and is open for business until Monday 20 December.

'Small Bomb' Found During Security Alert
Army bomb experts have been called to examine an explosive device found at an apartment block in east Belfast. Police said that a number of residents were evacuated from the apartments in the Short Strand Road area at about 20:00 on Tuesday night. They described the device as a "small bomb". No further details have been released.

West Belfast security alert ends
A security alert in west Belfast has ended. Police have described the device, which was discovered in the Grosvenor Road area of the city as “viable.” A number of items have since been taken from the scene for forensic examination.

Residents Evacuated In North Belfast Alert
Residents have been forced to evacuate their homes in north Belfast following a report of a suspicious object in the area. The homes in Clifton Crescent were evacuated after the report of an object in the area on Monday afternoon. An army bomb squad has been tasked to the scene and the area has been closed to traffic.
