Appeal For Information On Two Burglaries

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information on two separate burglaries over the weekend.

In the first incident in west Belfast at about 6.30pm on Saturday 27 November, a man in his 80s was threatened by three men wielding an iron bar at his home on Glen Road. The men demanded money. It is understood that the man handed over the money the men left without hurting the elderly homeowner.

A short time later, at about 6.50pm, a woman, also aged in her 80s, found an intruder hiding behind a bedroom door at her home at Ballymena Road, Antrim.

Police described the incident as "extremely distressing" ordeal for the elderly woman.

Anyone with any information about either incident, especially anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious, is asked to contact police.
