Murder Investigation Into Death Of A Man In Ballymena
A murder investigation has launched following the death of a man whose body was discovered in Orkney Drive in Ballymena on the morning of Wednesday 27 July.
Detective Chief Inspector Neil McGuinness said: "Shortly after 7.50am, police received a report that the body of 63 year old Victor Hamilton had been discovered in the driveway of his home.
"The investigation is at a very early stage and I would urge to anyone with information or anyone who was in the Orkney Drive area of Ballymena on Tuesday night, 26 July and into the early hours of Wednesday morning 27 July to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference 273 of 27/07/22."

Sarah Montgomery Murder: Man Charged With Murder And Child Destruction
Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s (PSNI) Major Investigation Team, who are investigating the murder of 27-year-old Sarah Montgomery in Donaghadee, have charged a man with murder and child destruction. The 28-year-old man is expected to appear before Newtownards Magistrates' Court today, Wednesday, 2 July 2025.

Police Name Victim of Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash in Omagh
The Police Service of Northern Ireland has confirmed the identity of the man who died following a two-vehicle collision in Omagh on Sunday, 17th May. He was 38-year-old Adrian Slevin from the Dromore area. The fatal incident occurred in the Clanabogan Road area. Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash are ongoing.

Renewed Appeal As Bomb Planted Under Car
The PSNI's Terrorism Investigation unit has issued a renewed appeal for information after the attempted murder of an officer with a car bomb on Saturday 01 June. A serving officer detected the device under his vehicle when parked at Shandon Park Golf Club in east Belfast.
