Appeal For Information On Violent Burglary In North Belfast

Musgrave CID detectives have issued an appeal for information following a burglary in north Belfast on the afternoon of Sunday, 29th October.

At approximately 4.50pm on the day, people received a report that a man had gained access to a house in the Southport Court area of the city. The man threatened the resident before assaulting them. He also caused damage to the property by smashing a window and causing damage to the interior.

Officers attended and a man aged in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of a number of offences including burglary, possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence, false imprisonment, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, criminal damage and common assault

He remains in police custody at this time.

Detective Inspector Kelly Foley said: "This was a particularly violent incident and I would appeal to anyone who may have any information or footage that could assist with enquiries to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference 1354 of 29/10/23."

PSNI Appeal For Information After Aggravated Burglary In Bushmills
Detectives are seeking information following a report of an aggravated burglary which occurred at the Carnbore Road area of Bushmills yesterday, 14 May. Police received a report shortly after 10.45pm that three masked men armed with a sledgehammer and two pieces of piping had entered a property in the area.
