Man Arrested In Connection With West Belfast Attempted Murder
Detectives from the Police Service’s Major Investigation Team have arrested a 61-year-old man in connection with an attempted murder in west Belfast on Sunday, 23rd February.
The arrest was made earlier today, Thursday 8th May, following the search of an address in west Belfast. The man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. A vehicle was also seized from the property for further examination.
He remains in police custody at this time.
The investigation relates to an incident in the Bell Steel Manor area on the morning of Sunday, 23rd February, where a 49-year-old man was shot as he sat inside a taxi.
Police are reiterating their appeal for anyone with information or footage relating to the incident to contact them on 101.

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder

A man, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Two other men were also arrested and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Man Released On Bail Over Lurgan Murder
A man arrested in connection with a murder in Lurgan on Sunday, 06 August, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The body of a man, aged 45, was discovered at a flat on Victoria Street. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Arrested Following Incident At House In Coleraine
A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an incident at a house in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. It happened at a property on Knockantern Grove in the Mountsandel area on Tuesday, 16 August. The suspect has been arrested on suspicion of possessing of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an offence and assault on police.

Two men have been arrested following a number of police searches into the Continuity IRA. A 37-year-old man arrested under the Terrorism Act in Newtownabbey on Thursday evening, 29 August, remains in custody this morning. He was taken to Musgrave Serious Crime Suite for questioning.

Four men arrested in connection with an explosive device in west Belfast last year have been released from custody. The device was found in the Pantridge Road area on 30 October. Three men arrested under the Terrorism Act have been released unconditionally.
