Grand Opera House Set To Mark 130th Anniversary
Belfast's Grand Opera House is set to mark its 130th anniversary with a unique event titled On Stage Tonight!, offering an intimate dining and entertainment experience.
For the first time ever, the audience will be seated on the Theatre's iconic stage, with the opulent Victorian auditorium, created by architect Frank Matcham, serving as the backdrop. The exclusive event, produced in partnership with Northern Ireland Opera and Posh Nosh, is limited to just 150 people.
Guests will enjoy a champagne reception and a three-course meal while being entertained by a stellar line-up of Northern Ireland talent from the worlds of theatre, music, opera, and comedy.
Star-Studded Line-Up
The performers for the evening include the Emmy award-winning Shamrock Tenors, appearing direct from their Australian tour, and the stunning vocalists The O'Hara Sisters – Jolene & Philippa. They will be joined by actor and playwright Dan Gordon, comedian Diona Doherty, broadcaster, actress and singer Lata Sharma, sopranos Mary McCabe & Jenny Bourke, actor-musician Chris Kane, and the chorus of Northern Ireland Opera. Radio and TV personality Pete Snodden will MC the event.
Completing the bill are young stars from the Theatre's 2025 Summer Youth Production of Grease, a string quartet from The City of Belfast Youth Orchestra, and the Laura McGrath Trio.
Ian Wilson, Chief Executive of the Grand Opera House, said the event promises to be "an exceptional and truly memorable evening showcasing local talent and good food," commemorating a building that has "truly stood the test of time".
Tickets for On Stage Tonight! on Friday 14 November 2025 are priced at £190 per person which includes a champagne reception, three course dinner and the full entertainment programme. For more information, or to book tickets, visit www.goh.co.uk
