Renewed Appeal Following Serious Assault in North Belfast
Detectives have renewed an appeal for witnesses and information following a serious assault in north Belfast during the early hours of Sunday, 5 April.
According to Detective Sergeant McGearty, a man in his 20s arrived at a hospital at approximately 1.30am. He was suffering from a severe injury to his arm that is described as potentially life-changing.
While the specific details of how the injury occurred remain under investigation, police believe the victim was attacked in the Duncairn Gardens vicinity at roughly 1am. Detective Sergeant McGearty said: "We would appeal to anyone who witnessed this shocking incident to come forward. We're particularly keen to speak to anyone with CCTV/dash-cam or other video footage which could assist with our enquiries. The number to call is 101, and the relevant reference number is 118 05/04/26."
