Live Here Love Here Launches Small Grants Scheme for Environmental Projects
Applications have opened for the Small Grants Scheme 2026-27, an initiative designed to fund community-led environmental improvement projects that make a positive difference across Northern Ireland.
The grant programme is delivered through a partnership between the civic pride campaign Live Here Love Here, ten local councils, and the Northern Ireland Housing Executive. Financial awards ranging from £500 to £3,000 are available to successful applicants to help enhance local environments, cultivate civic pride, and foster community cohesion. The scheme is accessible to community groups, schools, third-sector organisations, and unconstituted groups. To qualify for financial support, projects must focus on achieving at least one of the following goals:
• Increase civic pride and enhance the quality of local green spaces
• Transform underused areas into vibrant, valued community spaces
• Improve community health and wellbeing through the enhancement of public spaces
• Promote environmentally focused actions and boost local biodiversity
The funding is available for projects situated within the ten participating partner council areas across Northern Ireland.
Prospective applicants must submit their proposals before the closing deadline on Tuesday 30 June 2026.
