Fugitive Arrested in Scotland Extradited to Northern Ireland

A 45-year-old man wanted on suspicion of fraud and burglary offences has been arrested in Scotland and extradited to Northern Ireland.

The individual is scheduled to appear before Laganside Magistrates' Court in relation to a number of outstanding arrest warrants. The operation was executed by Police Scotland officers in recent days before the man was transferred back into the jurisdiction of the PSNI.

Detective Sergeant McKernan commented on the extradition: "This arrest delivers on our assurance of the relentless pursuit of perpetrators and supporting victims.

"Our message is clear to anyone who has left Northern Ireland to the consequences of their actions. We will relentlessly pursue those that are trying to delay or deny justice to victims of crime."

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. A man, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Two other men were also arrested and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Man Arrested Following Incident At House In Coleraine
A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an incident at a house in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. It happened at a property on Knockantern Grove in the Mountsandel area on Tuesday, 16 August. The suspect has been arrested on suspicion of possessing of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an offence and assault on police.

Teenagers Arrested Over Omagh Kidnapping
Two teenagers have been arrested over the Omagh kidnapping which occurred at the beginning of October. A 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man have been arrested, according to the PSNI. The case has already seen three men aged 22, 39 and 55 charged and a 38-year-old woman released unconditionally.

Man Arrested Following Lisburn Assault Released
A man arrested following an assault in Lisburn has been released on bail pending further enquiries, according to the PSNI. The 21-year-old was arrested following an incident in the Rathvarna Drive and Beechwood Grove area at around 1.30am on Tuesday, 12 July.
