Police Probe Racially Motivated Graffiti In Markethill
Police are investigating criminal damage at commercial premises in Markethill after graffiti was discovered this morning, Tuesday 30 June.
Shortly after 8.30am, graffiti was reported on a wall at the side of the building. It is the second time the property has been targeted, following similar damage on Tuesday 23 June.
At approximately 9.45am, a further report was received of similar graffiti at another property in the Markethill area.
Both incidents are being treated as racially motivated hate crime. Officers are appealing to anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area, or who has information that could assist enquiries, to get in touch.

Police in south Belfast are investigating after graffiti was painted at several locations in the Sandy Row area. Neighbourhood Policing Inspector Brown said: "The graffiti, which contained a number of extremely offensive racist and misogynistic terms, was reported on Tuesday, 14th July.

Threatening Graffiti 'Not The Responsibility' Of The PSNI
Police have said the removal of threatening graffiti related to those tasked with dismantling an east Belfast bonfire is the responsibility of the property owners. It comes after Belfast City Council abandoned plans to demolish the construction on the site of Avoniel Leisure Centre when hired contractors pulled out of the job.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Racist Graffiti Reported In South Belfast
Graffiti depicting a hooded figure below the letters 'KKK' has appeared on a door in south Belfast. The graffiti was discovered just off the London Road in the Ravenhill area, less than a month after so-called "Islamophobic" leaflets were distributed in the area.
