Appeal For Information After Sudden Death In Belfast Lough
Detectives are appealing for information after a sudden death in Belfast Lough.
The woman, who was in her 30s, had been aboard a sailing boat travelling from Groomsport along Belfast Lough towards Carrickfergus earlier that day.
Officers believe the vessel left Groomsport at around 12pm. Following searches in the area, it was found 2.5 miles off Kilroot power station, between buoys one and two in the Victoria Channel.
Two men, also in their 30s, were arrested on Saturday 11 July on suspicion of maritime offences. They have been released on bail while further enquiries are carried out.
With many people out enjoying the good weather in Carrickfergus and surrounding areas that day, including on the water, detectives are seeking witnesses.
Anyone who was in the area between 12pm and 4pm and saw anything, or who has information that could assist, is asked to contact police via the witness appeal form at reporting.psni.police.uk/appeals, quoting reference 1098 of 11/07/26.

Man arrested after north Belfast fire
A 35-year-old man has been arrested following a house fire in north Belfast. The incident happened at property in the Castleton Gardens area of Skegoneil at around 12pm today. Four police officers and a man were taken to hospital after the incident for treatment for smoke inhalation.

PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a report of a burglary in west Belfast on Monday, 25 September. At approximately 8.30pm, three masked men forced their way into a property in the Oakman Street area, with a lone female occupant. The men were dressed in dark coloured clothing with their faces covered.
