Police Arrest Four After Coleraine Altercation
Police in Coleraine have arrested four people after a reported altercation in the Beresford Avenue area on Wednesday 12 August.
Chief Inspector Adams said: "Officers were made aware of an ongoing altercation in the area shortly before 8pm, involving two men and two women.
"Two men, aged 20 and 37, and two women, aged 28 and 21, were subsequently arrested on suspicion of a number of offences, including assault occasioning actual bodily harm, being in possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, and disorderly behaviour.
"All four remain in police custody at this time."
Anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have footage is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference 1468 12/08/26. Information can also be provided online via the non-emergency reporting form at www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/ or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or crimestoppers-uk.org/.
