NI Secretary Meets Commissioner And Victims And Survivors Forum
The Commissioner for Victims and Survivors and members of the Victims and Survivors Forum met yesterday with the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, Sir Chris Bryant, to discuss the challenges facing victims and survivors.
The meeting offered a valuable chance for Forum members to share first-hand their experiences, priorities and concerns, and to consider how government can better support and serve victims and survivors.
The Commission thanked the Secretary of State for taking the time to listen and engage on these issues and expressed hope that this will be the first of many such engagements.

£36m For Victims' Strategy
Members of the Northern Ireland Executive have unveiled plans for a £36million victims' money pot, set aside to deal with the needs brought forward by sufferers of the Troubles. The strategy has outlined a blueprint of how those sitting around the Executive table hope to deal with the sensitive issue of victims.

OFMDFM Announces Widening Of Abuse Inquiry
The enquiry into institutional abuse in Northern Ireland is to be widened in order to include cases reported between 1922 1995. The Historical Institutional Abuse enquiry was established to investigate allegations and cases of the abuse of children and young people in state-run institutions in Northern Ireland.

An enquiry into institutionalised abuse in Northern Ireland will begin on October 1, it has been revealed. The Acknowledgement Forum of the Historical Institutional Abuse Inquiry will investigate long-running abuse in the Catholic Church and state-run institutions throughout Northern Ireland.

He attended 'The Quiet Courage of Women', a service of remembrance, healing and hope at St Patrick’s Church of Ireland Cathedral in Armagh.
