Teenager injured in shooting
A teenager has been taken to hospital with a gunshot wound to his left thigh following a paramilitary-style shooting in Newtownards last night.
It is believed that the man was shot in the Westwinds estate shortly before 10pm. There are no further details at present.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police at Newtownards on 028 9065 0222.
Elsewhere, a man has suffered head injuries following an attack in south Belfast.
The victim, believed to be in his 30s, was beaten by a number of men at a bar in the King Street area at around 9.30pm.
He has since been taken to hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager girl was hit by a car on the Upper Newtownards Road at about 08:40 on Tuesday morning. The girl is currently in a serious condition in hospital. Police have arrested a man, aged in his 30s, in connection with the incident.

Man Arrested After Shots Fired In North Belfast
Police have arrested a man in connection with a shooting incident in north Belfast. It is understood that the 22-year-old man was arrested following reports of shots being fired on Oceanic Avenue at about 21:50 on Thursday. Police say that a parked car was damaged in the incident.

Three men hospitalised following shooting attacks
Three men are in hospital after paramilitary-style attacks in north Belfast on Sunday August 12. In the first attack two men aged 39 and 21 were treated for gunshot wounds to the leg after they were shot in the Parkmount area of Greencastle in the northern outskirts of the city. The incident took place around 10.40pm.

Cyclist Dies Following Collision Near Conlig
Police in Newtownards have appealed for information following a fatal road traffic collision near Conlig. A man, aged 40, was cycling with two others when they were struck by a white Hyundai car on the Bangor-bound carriageway shortly before 2pm on Tuesday, 11 July. The man died in hospital from injuries sustained in the collision.
