Police probe robbery in Castlereagh

Police are appealing for information after the driver of a cash delivery van was left shocked and shaken following a robbery on the outskirts of Belfast on Tuesday.

The robbery occurred shortly before 11am at the junction of Ballygowan Road and Knock Dual Carriageway when the delivery driver was ordered to hand over a cash box containing an undisclosed amount of money.

It is understood two men, who are believed to have been involved in the robbery, made off in a blue Ford Mondeo. The car was later found abandoned a short distance away at Leadhill.

It is understood the men then got into an old-style red car possibly a 3 series model BMW.

Detectives would like to speak to anyone who was in the vicinity of the Ballygowan Road at the time of the incident and who witnessed anything suspicious.

They also want to talk to anyone who witnessed the Ford Mondeo car being abandoned at Leadhill or who has any information about the movements of the red BMW car.

Fresh Appeal Over Belfast Murder
Police from the Serious Crime Branch have issued a fresh appeal over the murder of Kieran McManus. Mr McManus, 26, was killed near Kennedy Way, west Belfast, in March last year. On the first anniversary of his death, detectives have released CCTV footage of the victim which was filmed shortly before he died.

Four Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder
Police have arrested four men on suspicion of attempted murder after a car struck two people in west Belfast. The incident happened on the Andersonstown Road in the early hours of Tuesday, 06 June. A black coloured BMW hit a man and a woman and failed to stop at the scene. Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Man being questioned following robbery
A man is being questioned by police following an armed robbery in north Belfast on Monday. At around 7am two masked men, one of whom was armed with a handgun, entered a shop on the Ardoyne Road. The two men proceeded to steal a sum of cash and cigarettes before leaving.

Mother And Child Last Seen In South Belfast Missing
Police are concerned for the welfare of a mother and daughter who were last seen in south Belfast. Petia Fleming and her eight-year-old daughter Rhianna were seen in the Newtownbreda area on Wednesday morning. Petia is described as around 5ft 4inches in height, of slim build and with collar-length blond hair.

Detectives in west Belfast have issued an appeal for information following an armed robbery at the Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH) on Wednesday in which a gun shot was fired.
