Gun shot fired during hospital robbery
Detectives in west Belfast have issued an appeal for information following an armed robbery at the Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH) on Wednesday in which a gun shot was fired.
Shortly after 3pm, three members of the hospital security staff were approached in the grounds of the RVH by a man armed with a handgun, who then demanded that they hand over a sum of money.
A shot was discharged during the incident, however no one was injured.
The thief made his escape in a silver VW Golf car that was recovered in Forrest Street. A second silver car is also believed to have been used.

A man and woman who were badly injured following an assault in Londonderry had been abducted hours before in County Westmeath. The 42-year-old man and 38-year-old woman were found at High Park in Creggan at around 5:00am. They had been taken from their home in Mullingar between 8:00pm and 9:00pm on Monday evening and driven more than 120 miles.

Investigation Launches After Man Shot Multiple Times In L'Derry
An investigation has launched after a man was shot multiple times in his legs in L'Derry. The shooting occurred at a house in the Whitethorn Drive area on Thursday, 15 April, just before 11pm. The victim was shot a number of times in his legs after two men forced their way into the house. The man is currently receiving hospital treatment.

Shot Fired At Flat In Lurgan
A shot has been fired at a flat in Lurgan on Sunday night. A window was damaged in what is believed to have been a gun shot at Dingwell Park, between 10.30pm and 11pm. The property was empty and no one was injured in the incident. Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Police Hunt Gunman After Shot Fired
Police are hunting an armed man who fired a shot at a motorist over the weekend. The incident happened in the Pansy Street area of east Belfast at 1.20am on Saturday. The victim was approached by an armed male who fired one shot at him. The shot missed and the suspect fled the scene. The PSNI have appealed for information.
