Third person arrested following train collision
A third person has been arrested in connection with Monday’s train crash in Co Antrim.
The woman’s arrest follows the detention of two men on Tuesday in connection with the incident which took place near Dunloy at about 10.30pm.
None of the 32 people on board the Belfast to Coleraine train, which collided with a car deliberately abandoned at a level crossing, were injured.
Police said that two men were seen running away from the scene after leaving the car on the track and described the incident as “totally mindless and reckless”.
They have appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident or with information on the car, a maroon Vauxhall Astra, to contact them.
