Thousands of pounds worth of cigarettes stolen
Detectives in Bangor are appealing for information following a burglary at a local convenience store during the early hours of Thursday morning.
At around 1:35am it is believed two men broke into the shop on the Groomsport Road and stole several thousand pounds worth of cigarettes and a sum of cash which they carried in a large yellow grip type bag.
A short time later at around 2am two men with an identical bag were witnessed getting into a taxi at Sandringham Drive, Groomsport.
Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at Bangor on 0845 600 8000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

County Down man remanded after weekend sex attack
A County Down man has been remanded in custody charged with attempted murder and rape. 41-year-old Clive Adams from Springwell Gardens, Groomsport, near Bangor, appeared at Newtownards Magistrates Court earlier today believed to be connected to a sexual assault on a woman at the weekend.

Appeal Issued Following Burglary In Co Down
Detectives in Bangor have issued an appeal for information following the report of a burglary at a house in the Carrowdore area on Friday, 20 July. Making the appeal, Detective Constable Armstrong said: "We received a report at around 1:50pm that entry had been gained to the property in the Ballyrawer Avenue area.
