Man to appear in court following Lisburn robbery

An 18-year-old man is due to appear in Lisburn Magistrates Court today, charged with robbery and grievous bodily harm.

The charge is believed to be in relation to an incident in the Benson Street area of the town yesterday afternoon, when a woman was assaulted and robbed.

The assailant approached the woman from behind before snatching her handbag, and when she screamed, he assaulted her and left her with a wound to her head and bruising.

The man is due to appear in court this morning.

Man due in court over £18m drugs seizure
A 42-year-old man is due to appear at Newtownards Magistrates Court later today charged in connection with the seizure of £18 million worth of cannabis last week. The man was arrested yesterday and is facing a charge of 'being concerned in the supply of Class C drugs.
