Two injured in shootings

Two people have been injured in separate paramilitary-style shooting attacks in Belfast.

In the Conway Street area of North Belfast a 17-year-old was shot in the leg by two masked men shortly before 11.00pm on Tuesday night.

Earlier a 20-year-old was shot in the leg in the Tullycarnet area of east Belfast at around 10.30pm.

Police have appealed for anyone with information on the attacks to contact detectives on 0845 600 8000 or anonomously on Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

A man was shot in the leg at Creeslough Gardens at around 21:30 on Wednesday night. It is understood that victim is in his 40s and his injuries are not life threatening.

Two men injured in separate shootings
A 19-year-old man has been treated in hospital for a gunshot wound to the right leg following a paramilitary-style shooting at the weekend. The incident occurred at Armitage Close in east Belfast at around 10.15pm on Sunday. Elsewhere, a 25-year-old man has been shot in the lower leg following a paramilitary-style shooting in north Belfast.
