Man remanded over pipe bomb find
A 47-year-old man has appeared at Belfast Magistrates Court charged with
intimidation and possession of articles likely to be of use to terrorists.
Abdool Kalla, originally from Cameroon, but now with an address at the Dismas House hostel, on the Ormeau Road in Belfast, was also charged under the Terrorism Act with possessing two police business cards, which were found in his room during searches.
The charges relate to the discovery of a pipe bomb and a quantity of ammunition in an alleyway off Knockbreda Park in south Belfast at the weekend.
Kalla was remanded in custody to reappear before the court at a later date.

Man Charged Over Banbridge Murder
A man charged with the murder of another man found dead in Banbridge is to appear before Newry Magistrates' Court today, 13 July. The body of 55-year-old Richard Gerard Scullion was found at a property in the Millmount Court area on Monday, 09 July. Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.
